The Church of Santa Maria de Cervelló, or of the Socors, is located in an artificially carved replan in the reddish sandstone characteristic of this area, in a place with interesting vestiges and a necropolis from the Middle Ages.

It is a documented church from the beginning of the 10th century. The temple is part of the monumental Cervelló Castle complex.

The building we can see today was built at the end of the 11th century and it is Romanesque style.
