Viladecans Museum is housed in the historic Ca n’Amat building. There are six different sections on the same floor presenting local history and heritage, with one focusing particularly on life in the Llobregat Delta in the 19th century. This museum project complements others which deal with different periods of prehistory (the Gavà Mines Archaeology Park), the Roman era (Sant Boi Museum) and Middle Ages (Castelldefels Castle). - The Celler Room is the museum's information and introductory point, with an area for educational workshops and talks. - The entrance courtyard features elements from the pre-industrial era connected with the agricultural world. - The Joan Amat Room, named in honour of the owner who refurbished the building in the mid-19th century, houses a permanent collection of distinctive exhibits, together with audiovisual and interactive elements focusing on the history of the town and the building itself. - The Cups (or Press) Room is so named because four of the devices were found there during construction work, and are now on public display in this room. - As for the section focusing on the 19th century, the distinctive feature is the Kitchen, a museum adaptation of what would have been typical for the era, featuring a journey through the culinary history of the Delta district. - Meanwhile, the kitchen garden alongside is also used for complementary workshops.
